Program Description
Provides education scholarships, academic support, and immersive learning experiences that bring students to Selma — or bring Selma to them through traveling exhibits, digitized artifacts, and innovative virtual programming. Students do not just learn history; they experience it.
- Put History Into Action With The Reese Legacy Learning Experience
- When you know history, you have the power to change it.
The Reese Legacy Learning Experience allows students to step into the story of the Civil Rights Movement by connecting them to the impactful sites, stories, and leaders who made American history.
Students will have the opportunity to travel with scholarships in hand to walk the streets of Selma, Alabama, and stand where history happened. For those students who cannot make the journey to Selma, SELMA will come to them with traveling exhibits, digitized artifacts, and virtual interactive experiences.
Empowering students through education, technology, and storytelling keeps the legacy of our civil rights leaders alive.
