To Our Sponsors,
The Frederick D. Reese Foundation welcomes your organization to become a valued sponsor. As a community outreach organization, the F.D. Reese Foundation Inc. has been active on the frontline serving the community since 2018. The corporation was incorporated in October 2017 as an active status 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Our foundation is dedicated to preserving the legacy of Dr. Frederick Douglas Reese through practical and effective education, thereby making a global impact on humanity while also educating the world on Frederick D. Reese's impactful contribution to the Civil Rights Movement. From leading the first Teacher's March to the final day march alongside the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and his wife, Coretta King, from Selma to Montgomery on March 25, 1965. Frederick D. Reese is no stranger to educating the masses and standing for what is right.
As part of its mission to build universal leaders, the foundation works to alleviate the disenfranchisement of students and people throughout the community and globally. Cooperatively, we center our attention on educating awareness of critical issues that are culturally relevant and in alignment with the teachings of F.D. Reese. This initiative continues while the foundation conducts weekly tours at the F.D. Reese historic home and throughout the notable city of Selma, AL. Direct bloodline descendants of F.D. Reese guide the tour. Piloted by the activist's grandchildren, we can bridge the gap between generations of vital information via historical artifacts unbeknownst to the public. In preserving these artifacts containing pertinent knowledge relating yet not limited to F.D. Reese's connection to historical figures such as Congressman John Lewis, Rev. Ralph David Abernathy, Rev. C.T. Vivian, and numerous others, we will continue to share this immensely unprecedented value of knowledge with the world. A pivotal and crucial aspect of this lies within the creation and inauguration of the F.D. Reese documentary to society. In doing this, we are preserving the legacy of F.D. Reese and controlling the narrative from the perspective of none other than the source itself.
We are asking for donations to help continue to move this initiative forward. With your donation, we will generate a documentary, preserve artifacts, produce an F.D. Reese film, and purchase Selma's Self-Sacrifice books for schools worldwide. Furthermore, we will expand the F.D. Reese Historical Tour experience, exhume F.D. Reese's body, and memorialize it at the historic home. Lastly, the foundation aspires to travel around the nation to teach how F. D. Reese fulfilled his mission to provide all Americans with the right to vote.
